The Income Tax Department conducted raids on Surana Jewellers and other establishments owned by its proprietor in Nashik, Maharashtra, seizing $3.1 million (Rs 26 crore) in cash and undisclosed wealth. According to a report by news agency ANI on Sunday (May 26), the raids were initiated following reports of alleged undisclosed transactions by the jeweler's proprietor.


Additionally, documents revealing unaccounted wealth worth $10.8 million (Rs 90 crore) were also confiscated. A video shared by ANI on X showed department officials seizing multiple bundles of cash from the Surana Jewellers store.
