Specifically, he reprimanded officials responsible for the fast track scheme for their inability to provide satisfactory answers to his inquiries.
In a subsequent statement to the press, Minister Patil acknowledged the challenges faced by patients from across Karnataka who travel to Bengaluru for medical treatment. He outlined plans to establish hospitals modeled after Kidwai in Tumakuru, Shivamogga, Mandya, and Karwar, and to expand Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health to Kalaburagi. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to decentralize healthcare services and improve accessibility for residents outside Bengaluru.
Addressing criticisms of Kidwai Hospital, Minister Patil emphasized ongoing development efforts aimed at enhancing services and minimizing patient wait times. He assured the public that steps were being taken to acquire necessary medical equipment, address staff shortages, and fill vacant positions. His proactive stance underscored a commitment to rectify existing issues and ensure that patients receive optimal care across the state.
