iPhone owners are reporting that the most recent iOS update is bringing back previously deleted intimate photos.

It appears that a bug in Apple's latest iOS update, version 17.5, is causing deleted photos to resurface for iPhone owners. Reports on Reddit and among iOS beta testers indicate that after updating their phones, users are seeing previously deleted photos, some of which date back several years, reappear in their Recents album.

Despite iOS offering users the option to restore deleted photos, these photos are typically permanently removed after 30 days. However, affected individuals are witnessing old photos, including NSFW images, reappearing on their devices.

One Reddit user mentioned that photos deleted "years ago" suddenly reappeared on their phone, while another user observed images from 2016 appearing as new, despite not recalling deleting them. Additionally, a user claimed that after wiping their iPad according to Apple's guidelines and selling it to a friend, around 300 old photos, including some "revealing" ones, appeared on the device.
