In Chennai, the ruling DMK has characterized NEET as an 'industry' aimed at benefiting coaching centers, allegedly generating 'several lakh crores.' Tamil Nadu has led efforts to expose these issues, prompting major national parties to voice concerns over the test's validity.

According to DMK's Tamil mouthpiece 'Murasoli,' which highlighted CBI arrests and searches related to NEET-UG irregularities, even BJP ally JD(U) has expressed concerns through a resolution, as reported by news agency PTI. "Leading political parties in India are increasingly critical of NEET," the publication noted. The DMK is advocating for parliamentary debates on NEET irregularities, with support from Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
